1 Scope
This standard specifies shape, dimensions, position and strength requirements for the license plates
(brackets) for the fixing of license plates.
This standard applies to motor vehicles of category M, N and O classified in
GB/T 15089.

3 Definitions
Mounting plate: A plate for the fixing of a license plate on a vehicle.
Mounting bracket: A support on which the license plate is mounted.
4 Shape and dimensions of the mounting plate
The mounting plate prise an even rectangular surface, or curved surface if it is available
for the fixing of the license plate.
The dimensions of the plate and holes in it shall be determined according to the standard GA 36.
5 Location of the mounting plates/brackets
The mounting plates/brackets shall be positioned on a vehicle in such a way that they have no
influence on the vehicle's designed approach and departure angles.
Position of the front mounting plate/bracket
The front mounting plate/bracket shall be mounted on the front bumper of the vehicle.
