This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO 6549-1980 Road Vehicle- Determination of H point.
Subject content and scope of application
This standard prescribed the program to determine the H point position of vehicle seats using a three dimensional H point device.
This standard is applicable to the design and test of any vehicles with the vertical distance between the driver’s heel point and R point be less than 550mm, the backrest backwards inclination angle be larger than 5°, or the angle between the thigh central line presented by the thigh rod and the horizontal line be larger than 5°.
Terms
Three dimensional H point device
It is a device used to determine the H point of the vehicle’s seats.
H point
It means the joint center of the three dimensional H point device’s body and thigh, it is located at the central line between the H point buttons to the two sides of the device.
“R point” or “Seating reference point”
It means the design H point prescribed by the manufacturer, this point:
