This standard referred international standard ISO 1459-1973(E) “Metallic coatings-Protection against corrosion by hot dip galvanizing-Guiding principles.” and ISO 1461-1973(E) “Metallic coatings-Hot dip galvanized coatings on fabricated ferrous products-Requirements”.
Contents and Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements of hot dip galvanized coatings on fabricated ferrous products.
This standard is applicable to the anti-corrosion hot dip galvanized coatings on fabricated ferrous products.
This standard is not applicable to the hot dip galvanized coatings on the steel wire, tube material and sheet metal which are not through the forming process.
This standard does not specify the nature and the surface conditions of the matrix material before the hot dip galvanization. For the matrix material that would have the impact on the effect of the hot dip galvanization, please see Annex A (informative).
