National Standard of the People's Republic of China Passenger car--Internal protrusions GB 11552--1999 Replace of GB 11552--1989 1 SCOPE This standard specifies all the interior fittings of the partment, other than the rear-view mirror(s), including the specification and test methods of body accessory, buttons, manual control bar, roof (including moving roof), seat back, components on the back of seat and so on for protrusions. This standard applies to passenger cars. The M1 vehicles may take this standard as a reference. 2 REFERENCE The following standards contain provisions, which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. At time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. "The head-impact zone" prise all the non-glazed surfaces of the interior of a vehicle which are capable of entering into static contact with measurement apparatus defined in the Annex I. "Reference zone" prise all the areas which have specified definition of projections in the head-impact zone. "Level of the instrument panel" means the line defined by the points of contact of vertical tangents to the instrument panel. "Roof" means the upper part of the vehicle extending from the upper edge of the windscreen to the upper edge of the rear window (or the upper edge of the rear door), bounded at the sides by the upper framework of the side-walls.
