jectories was mined and a travel mode recognition model based on an improved fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm was
on the traditional fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm，the initial membership function was constructed based
on the prior knowledge of the travel mode，and the traditional Euclidean distance was replaced by the Mahalanobis distance，
which was more sensitive to changes in multi-dimensional data. The three common travel modes of users in the urban area
of Changchun，namely walking，cycling，and motor vehicles，were identified，and the accuracy of the model recognition re-
sults was verified in terms of user travel distance，travel time，and average travel speed.
