National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal
Reversing years of decline requires long-term investment and new ways of working.
The Spending Review set out a major boost of public spending, including an extra £11 billion for education and training and £12 billion for the NHS over the next three years.
For the first time, UK Government have set targets not just for the national average, but for es in deprived areas, which will ensure that a fair share of these budget increases goes to deprived areas.
National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal
To narrow the gap between es in deprived areas and the rest.
It builds on the work of 18 Policy Action Teams, involving hundreds of people inside and outside Government, and thousands of people across the country through consultation.
The Action Plan sets out a new approach to renewing poor neighbourhoods.
