1. Scope
The Standard includes Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, Evaluating values of
energy conservation, Target Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, test methods and
regulations.
The Standard applies to CRT and puter monitors, which work under mains power supply;
also applies to display equipment with tuner/receiver, but functions mainly puter monitor.

3. Term and definition
OFF mode
Monitor is connected to the mains power, and the Power status of the monitor is “OFF”

Energy efficiency puter monitors
Under the conditions listed in this Standard, the luminous intensity of monitor divided by the
tested input power. Unit: cd/W

Energy consumption of OFF mode
The active power of the monitor in OFF mode. Unit: W

Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency puter monitors
The minimum energy efficiency and the maximum active power in OFF mode that monitor should
have.
