All equipment in Optinex family are designed with the same concepts and with the same basic technology.
1662 SMC is provided with an high capacity (96x96 STM1 ports) SDH Matrix, which cross-connects VC’i.
ATM cell matrix will be provided in the next releases.
1662 SMC has the same capability of an SDH cross-connect and its features are limited by the available external accesses only.
