Analysis of the teaching material
This unit is the third of Module four and it is centered with the topic of a taste of English humor. The emphasis of this period will be placed on the key words, expressions, and sentence patterns in class in order to make students learn, grasp and use these important language points flexibly.
● Teaching strategies
① This period is designed as a student-centered process of solving problems and breaking through the difficulties in groups. Students are encouraged to process the given information with the joint efforts of all the group members, exercise their minds, and improve their ability of using language. The teacher will help the students to learn during their learning process and act as anizer and observer of the students’ activities and will lead the students to solve the problems and inspire them to voice their valuable ideas during the discussion.
② This guiding paper is designed with the main purpose of emphasizing the focal language points and breaking through the difficult points during the process of independent learning, discussion munication, presentation, ment-making.
